Notre Dame Football’s Top 10 Recruit Wish List from the 2018 Class
This “kid” is one of the most powerful offensive line recruits that I’ve seen in recent years. He has great strength, fires off the line and once he squares up on a defender, it’s game over, no matter how big or talented they are. He’s that good.
Coming out of Pace Academy, one of the best prep programs in the south, many think he’s a shoe in to commit to in-state Georgia.
This hasn’t stopped Harry Heistand, however. Heistand continues to put in work with Salyer and is working to get him on campus.
The Irish landed offensive tackle Cole Mabry who is a rising prospect and beginning to receive attention from the south, including an offer from LSU.
Notre Dame is looking to add some top talent to it’s front this cycle. They will likely take about 3 more lineman and Salyer is one of their biggest focuses. In fact, he’s the only guard they have offered as Heistand is careful with who he offers.
So far, Georgia is the front-runner with Alabama pushing as well. That said, don’t count out Notre Dame. Heistand has proven that he can beat any Power 5 program for their in-state talent with a big win over Ohio State for Liam Eichenberg, for example.
