Malik Vann is underrated ranking-wise in my opinion. His height, 6’1.5, is what’s keeping him from being ranked in the top 100. 6’3+ is ideal for defensive ends at the college level, but that’s not to say there isn’t plenty of successful defensive ends that are around the 6’1 range.

Vann comes from a tremendous program in Fairfield, Ohio. He has received strong coaching and training which has resulted in a technical, polished and physically strong product.

So far, it looked like a Ohio State, Michigan State, Notre Dame battle for the Under Armour Future 50 star, but Vann has racked up 34 offers and will be visiting Alabama this weekend.

The Irish have been recruiting Vann as hard as any ’18 recruit for quite some time.

He has been on campus multiple times and seems to have a good relationship with some of their current players/recruits. Markese Stepp often tweets him and encourages him to commit to Notre Dame, as he does with many top recruits.

Vann is one of the recruits that I feel the most confident Notre Dame will get.

Keep a close eye on this one.
