Shooting Percentage – 47% (78th in the NCAA)

Notre Dame doesn’t have much of a frontcourt going on this season. Outside of Bonzie Colson, the Irish have moved entirely away from big men. But that’s done nothing but help this offensive unit become more of a threat than they’ve been in years.

Shooting 47% from the field, Notre Dame has stayed neck and neck with the best teams in the country. Mostly using their outside shooting to space the floor, the Irish have controlled the offensive end in every game they’ve played this season.

Even against opponents they lost to, Notre Dame never allowed a defense to force their hand. They’ve stayed calm and continuously put up some of the best numbers in the NCAA. Behind Colson, Matt Farrell, V.J. Beachem, and a blend of Steve Vasturia, Temple Gibbs, and Rex Pflueger, the Irish are combining for one of the best sharp shooting offenses in team history.

With four players averaging double-digit scoring numbers, Notre Dame has become one of the most frightening teams in the ACC. With their new found small ball lineup, this offense has done nothing but get scarier.

Over the last four games, Notre Dame has shot 47% from the field, staying right on par with their yearly mark. With more contribution from Gibbs and Pflueger, though, the Irish appear to be more comfortable with their starting lineup.
