Points Per Game – 79.4 (51st in the NCAA)

Combine all these, and you get the 51st offense in the country. Averaging 79.4 points per game, Notre Dame proves once again that they are one of the top tier offensive teams in the country. With their 47% shooting and solid 3-point percentage to follow, this team can scorch anyone at anytime.

It doesn’t end with shooting, though. The Irish have some of the best passers in college basketball. When you constantly have open looks, you tend to make more shots. The best way to find these looks is by passing the ball. And almost no one passes the ball better than the Irish.

Eliminate turnovers and provide one of the best defenses and you get a nearly 80 points per game average. Playing the teams in the ACC, putting up 80 points leads to a lot of wins. In the best conference in basketball, you can’t expect to win if you don’t score points. Notre Dame being one game out of first place in the conference, they’ve shown they can score as many points as they need.

Next: Looking ahead to Notre Dame's final stretch

This team is deadly. You don’t want to run into a unit like this come March, and Notre Dame knows it. They may not have had the success they’d like against ranked opponents, but they showed they could stay neck and neck. If they continue to play the way they’ve been, they’re going to start beating these teams.

With their new lineup, all these stats should increase. The Irish have become more of a threat than they’ve been all year. Don’t sleep on Notre Dame. They’ll prove soon enough that this state line leads to success.
