Notre Dame Football: Film And Breakdown Of 4 Recent WR Offers
Brian Kelly wants speed.
Not a lot of receivers in the country have more speed than Anthony Schwartz.
Schwartz reports a 4.31 sec. 40 yard dash on his Hudl profile. If it’s legit, I’d say he’s probably the fastest high school receiver in the country.
Schwartz also ran the 100m in 10.54 sec in his junior year but ran it in 10.26 sec. as a sophomore which is the 3rd fastest in the country.
His offer list includes Florida, Auburn, Miami, Oregon, UCLA, Wisconsin and many more.
As a receiver, his speed translates onto the field nicely. He consistently gets behind the second level of the defense and shows that he can adjust to the ball and haul in impressive catches.
A lot of times with sprinters of this level, they end up being underwhelming receivers and have difficulty maintaining their speed out of breaks.
That’s not the case with Schwartz.
He also shows some good ability at free safety. Notre Dame would love to add this kind of speed to their defensive backfield but with his size and skill set, Schwartz is much better suited on the offensive side of the ball.
This recruitment is in the early stages and the Notre Dame staff is likely trying to gain more information about the American Heritage product. I’m sure they will be pushing for a visit soon if they haven’t all ready.
