Notre Dame basketball takes on Georgia Tech as they look for redemption. Here’s how to watch the Irish take on the Yellow Jackets online.

The Fighting Irish are in the hunt for the No. 2 seed in the ACC Tournament, and with three games left, it’s do or die for Notre Dame. On the other side of the ball, Georgia Tech hasn’t guaranteed themselves a NCAA Tournament bid yet and need every win they can get before the end of the regular season.

Last time around, the Yellow Jackets got the best of Notre Dame, beating the Irish with a last second layup to win 62-60. But now Georgia Tech travels to South Bend, and the stakes are much higher than the first time. With Notre Dame’s new lineup, the challenge is much harder for Georgia Tech.

With four guards in the lineup, the chances of the Yellow Jackets’ backcourt having the game it did last time. Tadric Jackson scored 25 points and handled the Irish defense practically by himself in game one. Without another player having a performance like his, though, Notre Dame should have the upper hand in this matchup.

By moving to a four-guard lineup, Notre Dame has eliminated their biggest flaw; Their post. Bonzie Colson is an animal. Averaging 16.7 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest, Colson has been the best part of this Irish team. The Yellow Jackets will have to decide whether to put Ben Lammers or Quinton Stephens on Colson and let the other try to defend from the perimeter.

With the move, Notre Dame may be eliminating on of Georgia Tech’s best options on the defensive end, which gives them a significant advantage. Outside of Jackson and Josh Okogie, Georgia Techs’ backcourt isn’t a group talented enough compete with Notre Dame’s.

The Irish should expect competition from Georgia Tech, but not enough to fall again. Notre Dame will be able to handle them this time around. With their new lineup, three games to move as far up the ACC as possible, and the hot hand of a four-game winning streak, Notre Dame will be able to pull off the victory in this one.
