Notre Dame Football: 3 Big Time Visits On The Horizon
Notre Dame has some important visits lined up.
Spring practice is in less than a week and the Irish staff will be working hard on getting key recruits on campus for visits, as they always do at this time of year.
Let’s have a look at the three most important spring visits on my board at this time.

March 24/25
Ja’mion Franklin – DT – 6’3, 310 lbs. – Ridgley, MD
Ja’mion Franklin told me that he’s been an underdog his whole life.
Well, it looks like those days are over.
Franklin has been receiving a lot of attention from powerhouse programs lately, including National Champion Clemson, where he will visit this weekend.
Notre Dame has also been in close contact with the brute force from Maryland. The Irish are in search of more big-bodied defensive tackles and Franklin certainly fits the bill.
Franklin will be visiting Notre Dame with his coach later this month,(24th/25th), to take in the campus and meet the coaches and players.
I believe Notre Dame has a good shot with Franklin who boasts a 3.47 GPA and takes academics quite seriously.
April 2
Quinn Carroll – OT – 6’6, 280 lbs. – Edina, Minn.
Quinn Carroll is one of the better offensive lineman from the ’19 class who Harry Heistand has targeted early.
The Minnesota native has racked up offers from big-time schools including Michigan, LSU, Florida State and Ohio State.
He has 20 offers in total which is very impressive for a sophomore.
Quinn will be on campus for Notre Dame’s April 2nd Sophomore Day.
Great that they’re getting on an OT of this caliber, early.
April 22
Kevin Austin Jr. – WR – 6’3, 190 lbs. – Pompano Beach, FLA
Notre Dame has been on Kevin Austin for a while now.
He hasn’t recorded the most impressive 40 times but his speed on film, and dynamic playmaking ability with the ball in his hands, makes me truly not care about his 4.7ish time.
I spoke with Austin a few weeks ago and he had great things to say about Florida area recruiter, Autry Denson.
Austin’s father grew up in the mid-west and played basketball in college in Michigan, so the phenomenal pass-catcher has spent a lot of time in the area and enjoys it.
He also takes academics very seriously. I really like Notre Dame’s odds here since I spoke with him and could see him committing on his April 22nd visit or soon after.
