Notre Dame basketball takes on Louisville trying to claim the second seed in the ACC Tournament and close out the regular season with a win. Here’s how to watch the Irish vs the Cardinals online.

As Notre Dame tries to finish the season with a seven-game win streak and claim the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament, they take on Louisville for the second and final meeting of the regular season. For both teams, this game is a make or break situation for where they’ll find themselves in the ACC Tournament.

With a win, the Irish earn a two-round bye and receive some needed rest before their first tournament game. But with a loss, they are looking at  situation where they let the rest of the conference’s closeout games decide where they seed.

The matchup to watch in this meeting is Matt Farrell and Steve Vasturia vs Donovan Mitchell and Quentin Snider. In their last game, Farrell and Vasturia led the Irish’s backcourt combined for 46 points, shooting 50% from the field and three.

There’s no reason to follow their last meeting, but looking back, it adds confidence that these guards were able to push the Irish to a win the first time around. For the Cardinals, Mitchell and Snider were held in check, finishing with 32 total points, only hitting five of their 17 shots from deep.

In the post, Louisville will need to adjust to the Irish’s new small ball lineup. As the Cardinals as use to played a tradition lineup; a tall small forward and two big down low, they will need to adapt to a spaced floor on the defensive end.

Bonzie Colson will be the one taking advantage of the Cardinals adjustments. With 18 double-doubles already on the season, there’s no doubt Colson is going to dominate the paint. But if the Cardinals have to spread the floor and leave Colson down low in a one-on-one matchup.

Determining the outcome of this one is nearly impossible. Louisville has an eight-point spread, but Notre Dame has the hot hand. The result of this one is going to be decided by who is more determined. With a No. 2 seed in the ACC on the line and a possible conference title on the line, these two teams will come into this second meeting with more drive than all season.
