Ja’mion Franklin is the unquestioned first player that comes to mind when I built this list.

He’s a brute force in the middle of his defense. The 6’2, 310 pound defensive tackle shows an incredible burst off the line and shows that he can collapse the pocket with a powerful bull rush.

What makes him even more impressive is his great use of his hands. He shows refined hand placement and is able to use different techniques to slip by interior offensive lineman to get to the backfield.

Franklin has huge shoulders with an intriguing frame. College recruiters must be very excited about the idea of where he is right now in terms of being college ready, as well as where he projects down the road.

What makes him a great fit at Notre Dame are two things. He has a very high GPA which is nothing but great news for them. He’s also a potential starting nose tackle at the college level, something the Irish need in this recruiting cycle.

Ja’mion Franklin doesn’t hold an offer yet, but he has been building a relationship with Mike Elko and Mike Elston for some time now and is widely speculated to be offered this weekend when he takes his first unofficial visit to Notre Dame.

Franklin is considered as a 2 star recruit by some services and a low 3 star recruit by others. I personally feel that Franklin is at least a mid 4 star recruit. He will likely see his rankings take a significant hike in the future.
