Elisha Guidry is gaining interest from Notre Dame.

Elisha Guidry had an impressive showing recently at The Opening Regionals in Los Angeles where he posted a 101.91 SPARQ score. He has began to catch the eye of recruiters from across the nation, including a family member at Notre Dame.

“I’ve talked with Coach Alexander. He’s actually our cousin, so I’m pretty familiar with him….We just caught up because he recruited my brother when he coached at ASU and we talked about what position in the secondary I would play at ND,” Guidry explained.

The 6’1, 177 pounder is intrigued by the idea of Notre Dame being interested in his talents. “I think ND has some interest. I would consider going on a visit, especially if they did offer,” said Guidry.

Before enrolling at well-known, top tier Vista Murrieta in Murrieta, California, Guidry had spent his high school years in Texas where he won a 5A state championship at Cedar Park with his brother Jav, now at Utah.

“I lived in Texas for four years because my mom was in medical school. We originally lived in Long Beach, California and after my mom graduated, she got into residency back in California,” said Guidry.

Not only is DelVaughn Alexander heavily involved in the football world, other family members of his have left their footprint in the college football world as well. Football is a family thing for Guidry and his family. “It’s big. My dad and uncle played in college, so it’s part of what I do,” he said.

“Recruiting is going well. I’m probably getting the most interest from Northwestern and Washington State, also some other Pac 12 have contacted me,”

Elisha is an outstanding student and has landed high academic school offers in Yale, Northwestern and Dartmouth. “I am interested in finance and businesses but I’m still thinking about what I want to study,” explained Guidry.

It’ll be interesting to see if Notre Dame will pursue Elisha Guidry. He certainly has the grades and coming from Vista Murrieta, he’s certainly used to playing stour competition. Keep your eye on this under-the-radar talent.
