Notre Dame Is Recruiting Jack-Of-All-Trades Tariq Bracy
Tariq Bracy does a bit of everything for Milpitas High School.
Multi-dimensional athlete Tariq Bracy has had a huge career in California. The 5’10.5, 156-pound athlete has a very slim physique, but he can fly. He’s a shifty, explosive runner who does plenty of damage from the running back, slot receiver, wide receiver, kick and punt returner as well as the defensive backfield (film at the bottom).
Bracy’s stats are eye-popping. Last season, he rushed for 1,117 yards, tallied 1,036 receiving yards and added 365 yards as a returner. He’s been putting up these kinds of numbers since his freshman year which has brought his career all-purpose yards to 4,356.
On defense, Bracy tallied 46 tackles and 5 interceptions in 2016. The speedster, who has reported a 4.56 40-yard dash, is a dangerous ball-hawk and as a result of his small stature, he can be hard for quarterbacks to be aware of while he’s flying around the field.
I caught up with Bracy on Tuesday to speak with him about Notre Dame. “Coach Polian contacted me and said that he likes my ability to play corner,” expressed Bracy.
“ND is a great program and I have a lot of interest in the school. I have had thoughts in visiting as well,” he added. “Notre Dame has been one of many school’s who I’ve watched growing up and have a strong interest for.”
"“It would be a blessing to have an opportunity to play for the Fighting Irish,” said Bracy."
Bracy then explained which schools have been showing him the most interest so far in his recruitment. “The schools that have been contacting me the most are Utah, Boise State and Nevada,” said Bracy, who holds offers from Washington State, Eastern Washington
Tariq Bracy’s nine offers include Washington State, Eastern Washington, Cal, Utah, San Diego State, San Jose State, Nevada, Boise State, Hawaii and Fresno State, at this time.

Notre Dame is in search of at least two more cornerbacks after not landing any in the 2017 recruiting class. He may end up visiting after further conversations with California area recruiter, Brian Polian, who would certainly be happy to have him be a part of his return man rotation as well.
