Kenny McIntosh is one of the top running backs in the state of Florida from the 2019 class. He will be on campus April 22 and is hoping for an offer.

Current Notre Dame running back/receiver Deon McIntosh‘s younger brother Kenny McIntosh is one of the biggest names in Florida high school football, and he’s just a sophomore.

Kenny isn’t the smaller-type of back that his older brother is. The tenth-grader is listed at 6’1, 205-pounds and runs with speed, elusiveness, and power. In 2016, McIntosh rushed for 812 yards and caught 20 passes for 377 yards for a combined 5 touchdowns, per his 247 profile.

The rising junior shows in his sophomore Hudl highlights (seen below) that not only is he lethal in the running game, he also runs explosive routes when split out wide.

In the second play of his film, you can see how well he accelerates on the deep vertical pattern that he runs, then makes the reception for a score against top Florida competition. His versatility will be heavily coveted by college coaches for the remainder of his high school career.

Kenny McIntosh has watched his stock rise considerably during his sophomore year. With two full seasons of high school football left to play, he already has compiled an offer list of 18 schools. Many are top programs, including Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, LSU, Florida State, and Georgia.

McIntosh, who will make the trip to South Bend with his parents and his uncle, explained what he’s looking forward to seeing while on campus.

“I haven’t been to Notre Dame so I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re about,” explained McIntosh. “I’m really looking forward to seeing a better team than last year. There’s a lot of people up there that I want to see.”

Connecting with his brother and watching the transformed sophomore compete in the annual Blue and Gold game is a priority for Kenny while he is in South Bend.

“I’m looking forward to seeing him. I haven’t seen him for a while. I know that when he came down that he had gotten bigger. It sounds like things are working out and that things really changed for him in the last year,” mentioned McIntosh.

There has been talk that his older brother has moved back to the running back position. I asked Kenny if he had heard from his brother regarding his position situation.

“He’s playing a bit of both now, from what I’ve seen. I’m just looking for him to perform at either position,” expressed Kenny McIntosh.

“I always looked up to my brother. I still do,” he added.

McIntosh would love to play football with his brother in college and their mother would happy to see it happen. This is one of the main reasons why the big-play high school sophomore running back is paying attention to Notre Dame.

“I know my mom would really like to see me and my brother playing on the same team, so yes I am interested,” explained McIntosh.

Considering his strong offer list, Kenny will have many schools to consider when the 2019 signing day arrives. I asked him which schools are sticking out to him at this time.

“Miami, Ohio State, Bama and Clemson,” listed McIntosh.

I asked Kenny if he thinks the Irish coaching staff will offer him a scholarship while he’s on campus on April 22. “I’m hoping,” he said with a laugh. “They said they can’t wait to see me so I’m just hoping it comes with an offer.”

Considering Kenny McIntosh’s talent and Notre Dame’s yearly need to add not only running backs, but elite speed and playmaking ability to their offense, an offer from the Irish would not come as a surprise.

The fact that he’s a 2019 recruit also leads me to believe that they may wait to see how things develop during the next year before extending an offer to the Florida star. That said, 18 other schools didn’t feel it was necessary to hesitate. We’ll soon find out.
