The Cleveland Brown select former Notre Dame quarterback, DeShone Kizer, in the second-round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Despite falling out of the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, DeShone Kizer has found his new home. The Browns used three first round draft picks to cover other areas of need, but returned in round two to draft their quarterback.

Now, Kizer heads to the worst team in the NFL, with a lot of promise. The Browns may have been an embarrassment in years past, but they have used this draft to add three strong pieces to their roster.

After just two seasons of playing time at Notre Dame, DeShone Kizer decided to take his talents to the NFL. Now, he’ll be looking to lead the Browns, hoping to turn his college success into a long and fulfilled pro football career.

He left Notre Dame with 5,805 yards, 47 touchdowns and just 19 interceptions. Despite a 4-8 season for the Irish in 2016, Kizer is still considered one of the brightest players in the NCAA.

Kizer’s  new journey will lead him to Ohio, where he will compete with Cody Kessler for the starting job in 2017. Although many people believe he should sit and develop for a year, Kizer will be looking to earn the starting job as soon as possible.

For all the Notre Dame fans out there, the wait is finally over! Our quarterback has found a home. Now, we get to cheer him on in the next journey of his football career.
