Notre Dame men’s lacrosse takes on Denver in the quarterfinals of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Here’s how to watch online.

Notre Dame escaped the first-round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament by knocking off Marquette 15-9 in one of the most lopsided battles of the opening round. Now, they head to Hempstead, New York to take on Denver in a pivotal quarterfinal matchup.

The Fighting Irish couldn’t beat Denver in their regular season meeting, losing 11-10 in a close top tier battle. With the new found confidence and big win over Marquette, though, Notre Dame may be looking to knock off No. 5 Denver and send the Pioneers home early in 2017.

Behind goalie, Shane Doss, and sophomore midfielder, Brendon Gleason, the Fighting Irish head to their quarterfinal matchup as a potential underdog favorite. Despite only finishing the regular season 8-7, Notre Dame is one of the best shots to earn their way into the Final Four in 2017.

Denver is going to be a tough matchup for the Irish, though. At 12-3, they’ve dominated most of college lacrosse this season. As someone who’s been here the last several years, the Pioneers know exactly what it takes to win in May.

It’s going to be a battle. Denver and Notre Dame should be one of the most entertaining sporting events of the weekend. With a lot on the line, yet a tough road still ahead for the winner, both teams will be looking to make their mark in this quarterfinal matchup.

As we inch closer to the 2017 NCAA Championship, these two college lacrosse powerhouses will put everything they have on the line. To whomever comes out on top, they’ll have a huge momentum swing heading into the Final Four.
