Maybe one of the best recruiting classes we have seen from Notre Dame just became even more impressive.

Notre Dame has received a commitment from 4-star power forward Nate Laszewski. (La-Shess-key) You might want to get used to saying it.

A huge addition to an already extremely impressive recruiting class. Laszewski becomes Notre Dame’s fourth 4-star commit in the 2018 class.

The news broke Wednesday morning. Laszewski’s commit puts Notre Dame as No.2 in the 247sports team rankings

His announcement comes only five days after taking an official visit to ACC foe North Carolina.

Laszewski made an official visit to Notre Dame the weekend of Sept. 9th for the football game against Georgia. He had an opportunity to play pickup with current and former Notre Dame players such as Demetrius Jackson and Pat Connaughton.

With 17 offers Laszewski has been highly sought after. Choosing the Irish, he joins Prentiss Hubb, Robby Carmody and Dane Goodwin. All in which are also top 100 players.

The 6-10″ PF will have a huge role to fill coming as the new “Big Man” in the inevitable post-Colson era. But what’s exciting is that he won’t be the only big man.

Laszewski will join UConn transfer Juwan Durham, who will have to sit out this year. There’s a lot of excitement coming in with Durham. Some uncertainty as well. Durham didn’t get things going as a freshman at UConn due to injury. But a duo between Durham and Laszewski is something you can’t help but dream of the possibilities.

The Irish haven’t had a “true big man” for quite some time. But now there is reason for hope.
