Coming off of an impressive win over Michigan State last week, we prepare for Miami (Ohio) with 3 bold predictions.

The Notre Dame football team enters this week back in the AP poll ranked 22nd. The Irish were able to defeat Michigan State 38-18 in dominant fashion. The score could have been more lopsided than it was, but Brian Kelly had the opportunity to play some 2nd and 3rd string players.

Valuable reps for those guys as well as confidence in what the Irish could do this season reemerged. Last week was considered a statement win. This week, the Irish have to maintain the roll they are on. Let’s see how they can with our 3 bold predictions for Miami (OH).

Prediction #1: The game ball will go to the Offensive Line.

This could be the biggest factor in a successful day for Notre Dame. Miami (OH) has a stout defense, but they have not been challenged the way Notre Dame will challenge them.

The running game for the Irish has seen its ups and downs so far this season. This week, there is absolutely no reason why they cannot expose the Redhawks defense.

It will be a huge day offensively for Notre Dame and it will come from the success of the Offensive Line.

Opening up holes for Josh Adams, Dexter Williams (game time decision) and Tony Jones Jr. as well as giving Brandon Wimbush time to throw should be no problem against the Miami (OH) Redhawks.

The rate of Notre Dame’s offensive success will be tied to how well they win the line of scrimmage against Miami (OH) and the rest of the season.
