Prediction #3 The offense will come out swinging.

Even after a 38-18 win over MSU last week, the argument can be made that the offense should have produced more. Many did not expect the Irish to play as well as they have through their first 4 games. One thing is for sure, this team is hungry. Brian Kelly noted last week that they have on goal in mind, and that is to crush every opponent.

Just returning into the top 25, the frustration of feeling not appreciated provides motivation. After the one-point loss to now ranked #7 Georgia, respect has to be re-earned.

One way to do that is to not let the Redhawks stick around in this one. The longer they are able to hang around the more they will believe they can pull off the upset. That is when things get dangerous for the Notre Dame football game.

Wimbush proved last week that he can pass after some struggles in the Boston College game. He is going to have to show that performance can be expected throughout the rest of the season. He will have a prime opportunity to do that this weekend.

There is no reason why Notre Dame’s offense should not be able to put up points easily in this one. With the extra motivation, the Irish to look to come out hot early and see if they can make another statement.
