Defensive Back – Julius Irvin – Servite – Anaheim, California

Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame coaching staff hope to land their third prospect out of Servite High School in Anaheim, California. Both former Servite products have contributed greatly during their time in South Bend. The first, current Arizona Cardinals Tight End Troy Niklas played three years for Kelly on offense and defense. The second, Wide Receiver Equanimeous St. Brown is currently Notre Dame’s top target at Wide Receiver.

Julius Irvin would be the third to join the Fighting Irish if he chooses.

Irvin checks in at 6’2″ 182 lbs. He would likely play Safety on the next level. According to the 247Sports Composite, Irvin ranks as the 20th Safety and the 275th prospect in the 2018 class.

Notre Dame is up against some tough competition for Irvin. He holds offers from 14 schools including USC, Michigan, Utah, Washington, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Oregon.

Irvin officially visited Notre Dame on September 9th as well as Michigan, Utah and Washington. He also visited USC for their game against Utah. He also plans to visit Utah on November 25th.

Currently, USC leads for the California Safety. Notre Dame faces an uphill battle to get him to leave the West Coast. Aside from Michigan, Irvin is primarily focused on Pac 12 schools.
