Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Who’s Next? Irish Now Looking For Commitment No. 20
By Andrew Hall
Wide Receiver – Amon-Ra St. Brown – Mater Dei – Anaheim, California
Amon-Ra St. Brown would be the best player in the Notre Dame football recruiting class if he decided to join the class. Amon-Ra, the brother of Equanimeous and Osiris, is by far the most talented of the St. Brown trio.
According to the 247Sports Composite, St. Brown ranks as the 11th best player in 2018 class. He also ranks as the 2nd best Wide Receiver and top player in Californian.
He holds offers from Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Michigan, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Miami (FL), Ohio State, Oklahoma, Washington, Florida and many others.
With Equanimeous in South Bend, it definitely does not hurt Notre Dame’s chances. The other St. Brown brother, Osiris, plays for Stanford. Thus far, Osiris St. Brown has not registered a catch during his Freshman season.
Another factor is Equanimeous himself. Does the Junior Wide Receiver decide to pursue the NFL? If he does, does that play into Amon-ra’s decision?
According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, St. Brown appears most likely to pick the Fighting Irish. But, they are not the only team that is in hot pursuit of Amon-ra. 46% of the experts believe he will select Notre Dame. 38% believe that he will select USC while 8% predict for Stanford and Ohio State each.
The fact that Notre Dame destroyed USC on the field has to make a big impact. Amon-ra visited with Mater Dei teammates for the Irish rout of the Trojans.
