Notre Dame Football: Irish vs. Midshipmen – 3 Bold Predictions
By Chase Eyrich
In what will be an emotional day in South Bend, the Notre Dame Football team will look to bounce back against Navy on Senior Day.
Nothing looked good last week against Miami. It was the performance that many were looking for to knock Notre Dame out of playoff contention. And that’s exactly what they received.
Now Notre Dame will have to push past the disappointment of last week and focus on Navy.
With a lot left to play for this season, No. 8 Notre Dame has the dreadful task of slowing down the Midshipmen. While Navy is not in any contention for a New Years Six bowl or even as powerful as in seasons past, they still present a tough task.
Stopping the triple option is extremely difficult. Especially at this point in the season. With a long season almost behind us, Notre Dame will have to battle past beat up and drained players. Something that doesn’t quite work well against Navy.
There will be an extra push from those playing in their last game at Notre Dame Stadium to those wanting to send those 26 seniors off right.
There’s something special about Notre Dame football. This week the university will be paying their respects to the history that’s been built while outlined by a gray October sky.
Throwback uniforms will be worn to pay tribute to Knute Rockne. Jersey’s with the legends name on them and helmets freshly painted to look like leather will also bring in some extra energy this Saturday.
Let’s get ready for Notre Dame vs. Navy with 3 bold predictions.
