Let’s be honest. We have loved watching Notre Dames offense this season. It’s nothing flashy, but it’s efficient and gets the job done again and again.

Lighting up the scoreboard is nothing new to this team. In fact, this is one of the few seasons where we have been able to actually see Notre Dame dominate multiple opponents.

The Irish went on a streak of scoring 30 or more points for seven straight games, but it doesn’t stop there. Notre Dame has scored in the 40’s four times this season and even reached the 50’s once.

There is no reason why Notre Dame won’t be able to replicate that type of play this weekend. The spread is -17.5; this is a Navy team that just isn’t quite up to the standards of Notre Dame.

Of course, last week’s performance was obviously disappointing. The game even got to the point where Brandon Wimbush had to be pulled.

This is a game where Wimbush can hit his stride again. Navy is not where they have been in the past. This is especially true looking at the defense. If SMU was able to put up 40 points on the Midshipmen last week, Notre Dame should have no problem doing so as well.

Wimbush has been less than impressive this year, but it always has seemed like he’s on the edge of a breakout. Could this be the game? Equanimeous St. Brown should be a huge target for the QB this weekend. Whether it’s those two or the RB duo of Josh Adams and Deon McIntosh, the offense should be able to get things rolling. Look for Notre Dame to light up the scoreboard against Navy.
