Notre Dame will run up the score

Many projections do not have this as a high scoring game. While the last few games for Notre Dame may point in that direction, the Irish should be able to find their stride once again in this game.

We talked about it already, while Notre Dame was at their best they outscored opponents 304 to 130 in a seven-game span. Whether it was in the air or on the ground between Brandon Wimbush and Adams, ND found ways to get points on the board.

You can point to Miami holding Notre Dame to just eight points, but LSU is nowhere near Miami’s defensive level.

You could also point to Notre Dame posting 49 points three times this season with one being against USC.

We have also heard that Brian Kelly had trouble trying to motivate his players in the last few games. Something that doesn’t seem to be true anymore.

The Irish have had eight games this season with 33 or more points and five games with 48 or more. You can’t say that Notre Dame has trouble finding the end zone.

The offensive line for ND is simply too strong. Claiming the 2017 Joe Moore Award for the nation’s top offensive line unit, this is where Notre Dame has found their success.

Notre Dame scores on a lot of big plays, but most of them are set up by the offensive line. Whether it is a hole big enough for Adams to drive a truck through or providing time for a Wimbush bomb to develop, the O-line gets it done.

This has potential to still be a close game. But a low scoring game doesn’t seem to be Notre Dame’s style and shouldn’t be what we expect.
