Composite Way Too Early Top 25 Rankings for Notre Dame Football

There are varying expections for Notre Dame football in 2018 depending on who you ask.

As Notre Dame football fans, we’re always goijng to have strong opinions about our team. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. Either way, this opinion is often formed inside a bubble of the world we live in, all while wearing our personally biased blinders.

For this reason, it’s good to venture out and see what everyone else thinks. I decided to comb through the “Way Too Early” Top 25 projections of some of the biggest, most presitigous college football sites to get an idea of what the expectations are for Notre Dame football in 2018.

Some of these projections were made over a month ago, but they’re all relatively consistent.

From the looks of it, the days of the old “Notre Dame bump” are pretty much behind us — as much as some of the Irish “haters” may disagree. With plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and things looking pretty good during Spring practice, it’s not crazy to think Notre Dame can finish better than that “Way Too Early” composite projection. That said, the schedule that the Irish face in 2018 — as always — is a minefield.
