Notre Dame Basketball: Bonzie Colson's 10 Best Winning Performances

As Bonzie Colson’s illustrious Notre Dame career comes to an end, we look back on his best wins.

Few Notre Dame basketball players have been as much of a joy to watch as Bonzie Colson has been during his time in South Bend. His unique style of play and general effort — especially on the boards — draw you in. Some of what he does offensively appears effortless, almost leading you to take what he does for granted.

In the midst of his last postseason run, we honor one of our favorite Irish hoopsters by taking a look back at the stat lines in his ten best winning performances during his collegiate career.

10. March 4, 2015 vs. Louisville

It what was truly his breakout game as a freshman, Colson scored 17 points, logged one steal, one block and nine rebounds in a 71-59 win over the Cardinals.

9. December 30, 2017 vs. Georgia Tech

In his last game before the injury that kept him out for the middle of the 2017-2018 season, Bonzie put up 22 points, two steals, three blocks, an assist and 17 rebounds in a 68-59 win over the Yellow Jackets.

8. February 6, 2016 vs. North Carolina

Colson helped the Irish to a key 80-76 win over the Tar Heels, hustling for 19 points and 10 rebounds.

7. February 7, 2017 vs. Wake Forest

Bonzie had one of his vintage performances in a 88-81 win over the Demon Deacons. He logged 27 points, two steals, five blocks, two assists and 16 rebounds.

6. November 22, 2017 vs. Wichita State

Notre Dame was never been during the 2017-2018 season than they were on this night. Colson put up 25 points, two steals, two blocks, an assists and 11 rebounds in a 67-66 win over the Shockers.

5. December 19, 2017 vs. Dartmouth

This game would have been even high on the list if it come against better competition. Regardless, Colson was at his best against the Big Green, putting up 37 points, three steals, two blocks, an assist and 11 rebounds in a 97-87 win.

4. November 29, 2016 vs. Iowa

Colson dropped 24 points, three blocks and 17 rebounds against a solid Iowa squad, helping the Irish to a 92-78 win over the Hawkeyes.

3. December 31, 2016 vs Pittsburgh

This game with Pitt was an overtime war, and Colson was the difference-maker. He logged 21 points, a steal, a block and 14 rebounds in the 78-77 win.

2. February 11, 2017 vs. Florida State

Bonzie was simply brilliant in this big-time 84-72 conference win over the Seminoles. He tossed up 33 points, two steals, an assist, a block and 13 rebounds.

1. January 16, 2016 vs. Duke

Bonzie Colson will always be known as a Duke-killer. He was just that on this night, logging 31 points, two steals, one assist and 11 rebounds against the Blue Devils.
