He’ll have an an uphill climb tonight, as he’ll go head-to-head with some of the best 3-point shooters in the country from this past season. Of the eight participants, Farrell had the second-lowest three-point shooting percentage during the 2017-2018 campaign.
His competitors (with 3-point percentage in parenthesis) are:
Donovan Jackson, Iowa State (.401)
Marcus Foster, Creighton (.413)
Connor Frankamp, Wichita State (.364)
Connor Burchfield, William and Mary (.520)
Dakota Mathias, Purdue (.466)
Andrew Rowsey, Marquette (.415)
Jonathan Stark, Murray State (.399)
Going off just the percentages alone, you’d be led to believe that Burchfield is the favorite. Going off my own personal eye-test, I’d put my money elsewhere. Having watched all of these guys play this season, I’d lean toward Foster or Rowsey as the favorites. Both shoot the ball with ice in their veins under pressure. How much pressure they put on themselves to win what amounts to just a fun competetion tonight is unknown.

In any event, if you get tired of baseball and NBA hoops tonight, check out Farrell and watch him shoot a couple of shots one last time in a Notre Dame uniform.
