Notre Dame Basketball: ACC Announces Conference Matchups for 2018-19

The ACC released its conference matchups for teams in the 2018-2019 season. Check out what’s lies ahead for Notre Dame basketball.

The ACC announced the 18 conference matchups for the 2018-2019 season for for each of the 15 men’s basketball teams today, including all conference matchups for Notre Dame Basketball.

The matchups designate the 18-game home and away opponents for the upcoming season. Specific dates and times will be available after the conference has finalized the league’s schedule matrix.

Additionally, the ACC Tournament is scheduled for March 12-16 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina — a much more central and traditional location to all of the teams in the conference that New York City.

The ACC had a 12-9 record in this year’s NCAA Tournament and led all conferences with a league-record-tying nine teams earning bids The ACC has finished .500 or better in each of the last 31 NCAA Tournaments.  The next closest conference to that mark is the Big Ten with 12 straight.

Notre Dame was one of 12 teams from the ACC that took part in postseason play during the 2017-2018 season.

Beginning in the 2019-20 season, the ACC will begin a 20-game league schedule.

The regular season matchups for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are as follows:

Teams the Irish will face both home and away: Boston College, Georgia Tech, Virginia and Virginia Tech

Teams the Irish will face at home only: Clemson, Duke, NC State, Syracuse and Wake Forest

Teams the Irish will face on the road only: Florida State, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina and Pitt.

You’ll probably want to get your tickets early for the Duke, Syracuse and Virginia games if you aren’t already a season ticket holder. Those games will likely sell out quickly.
