Notre Dame football landed another big-time recruit yesterday.

Notre Dame football has landed four commits over the last four days. Yesterday that trend continued, with the commitment of Andrew Kristofic, an offensive lineman from Pennsylvania. Kristofic was on campus Monday for an unofficial visit and he decided that it was the day to finally pull the trigger. He’s been on campus multiple times throughout the past year and created great relationships with the staff and players.

Kristofic attends Pine-Richland high school, which might sound familiar to some who follow recruiting. That’s the same high school as 2018 stud quarterback signee Phil Jurkovec. The bond they had throughout high school and Kristofic being his offensive lineman only made this decision that much easier for him.

Kristofic holds 28 offers, including those from the likes of Ohio State, Clemson and Florida. In the end, there was only one school for him. Notre Dame got a good one here.

What will Kristofic bring to South Bend?

The 6’6, 270-pounder is an “all-around” lineman. He can pass block and run block with the best of them. He has a huge frame, which will help him add a ton of muscle and mass to his body and become even stronger down the road. He’s still developing, which is another reason why I think most people — including myself — peg him for having such a high ceiling.

Kristofic gets out on the perimeter quickly, moves great on the run and is very savvy with his hands. His technique is what I think will separate him from the other offensive lineman in this recruiting class. He’s very smart and has a high football IQ, but he’s also not afraid to finish his blocks either. He’ll domainate you if you’re out of postion and completely take control. He definitely has the mentality of an Notre Dame lineman. This kid has it all and it’s only a matter of time until the rest of the recruiting world takes notice.

The Irish are completely dominating the recruiting trail right now, with Kristofic being the seventh commit in the 2019 class and the second offensive lineman — joining OL John Olmstead — who committed to Notre Dame a few days ago. Offensive line coach Jeff Quinn is showing how impressive he really is on the recruiting trail and we should all be excited about that. Next is proving it on the field for Quinn and his unit. The momentum is building and this is a trend every Notre Dame football fan loves to see.
