3. Karan Higdon & Chris Evans (Michigan) 

The Michigan duo edged out USC’s running backs on this list mostly due to experience, but don’t take that as a slight on these two athletes. Higdon and Evans both had over 130 rushing attempts last season, and are very productive players for the Wolverines.

Combined, they rushed for over 1,600 yards and and 17 touchdowns. Those numbers should only increase this season with a better QB at the helm.

This will be a tremendous opening weekend test for Notre Dame’s front seven. Michigan prides itself on great defense and a solid running game, and 2018 should be no different.

There might not be anything overly flashy about either of these two running backs, but they always get the job done. Michigan and its fans should be confident in their rushing attack heading into 2018.
