No. 4: Jack Sears/Matt Fink of USC

Losing a generational talent like Sam Darnold is never easy to comeback from. However, Clay Helton and his USC squad have to rebound somehow, and it will be with either Jack Sears or Matt Fink.

Unless you are a Southern Cal fan, neither of these guys will be household names. Darnold has been the USC quarterback for the past 2 seasons, leaving no room for either to make a name. Sears and Fink — 3 and 4 star recruits respectively — have very large shoes to fill. Although they will not have to do much to put up better numbers than Darnold did against Notre Dame.

Helton has not yet named a starter, and there does not appear to be a favorite as of yet. The position is entirely up for grabs, which is great news for Notre Dame fans. No established quarterback normally means a possibly disjointed offense — at least early on. That said, USC is still returning a great team and whoever is named starter has plenty of weapons around him. Notre Dame should definitely be wary of the Southern Cal signal-caller come November 24th.
