Notre Dame Football: Top 5 Quarterbacks Irish Will Face in 2018
No. 2: Virginia Tech’s Josh Jackson
Coming off a very impressive season as a true-freshman at Virginia Tech, Josh Jackson is ready to explode onto the scene this year. Regarded as one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the country, Jackson is going to make sure Notre Dame has its hands full all game.
Jackson led the Hokies to a respectable 9-5 record in 2017 and helped his team finish ranked in the Top 25. Often times, Jackson looked like a 2nd or 3rd-year starter for for the Hokies. He finished the season with nearly 3,000 yards passing to go along with 20 passing touchdowns and three rushing TDs.
Jackson takes what the defense gives him, and that may pose a serious threat to the Irish defense. Notre Dame is not known as the best team when it comes to stopping dual-threat quarterbacks, and Jackson could easily torch the Irish defense. Not to say he will, but there is no doubt he has the potential to do exactly that.
