Florida State

Best: New head coach Willie Taggart has some first year struggles that are combined with remaining issues from last season. The defense, although talented, struggles in a year of development, thanks in part to a new system, as well as five defensive players lost to the NFL Draft, including Derwin James.

Its a physical struggle of a game that Notre Dame wins, in part due to a loud Notre Dame Stadium.

Worst: The Seminoles play like everyone expected last season, even with a new man in charge. The winner of the James Blackman/Deondre Francois quarterback battle, I believe will be Francois, plays lights out, as his athletic abilities are allowed to flourish under Taggart. Running back Cam Akers takes over, having an insane day both on the ground and in the receiving game.

Florida State scores well into the 30s, and defeats the Irish in a close shootout.
