Syracuse (Yankee Stadium)

Best: The Orange’s defensive woes continue. Last season, they we’re 98th in scoring defense, 98th in rush defense and 97th in passing yards allowed. The Irish offense has an all around huge day, with the team scoring into the 50’s, possibly even 60’s.

Worst: With the game in Yankee Stadium, the Irish are distracted by their surroundings for the first series or two. Maybe a three and out or a quick six play drive. Luckily, this doesn’t last long. Quarterback Eric Dungey plays better than expected, and the Orange actually hang around for the first half.

At that point, Notre Dame pulls away for a still convincing, yet not as flashy win.
