Vanderbilt

Best: Vandy is still searching for answers to replace Ralph Webb, the school’s all time leading rusher. On top of that, the Commodores look ahead a week to the start of their SEC schedule against South Carolina.

Brandon Wimbush has a career day passing, torching an inexperienced secondary. Again, more rotation on the O-Line will help later in the season.

Worst: Vanderbilt comes out fired up and ready for a fight. Vandy’s offensive line, while not elite, has plenty of experience, and gives quarterback Kyle Shurmur time to find projected top target Kalija Lipscomb, who will most likely be facing off with Troy Pride, Jr. The line also gives just enough time for Vandy’s running back stable to be adequate for the game.

Notre Dame still comes away with a win, although it could end up with both teams scoring in the 30s.
