The early lines for the 2018 college football season are starting to trickle out. Vegas likes Notre Dame football over Michigan right now.

The wise guys in Las Vegas are starting to trickle out their lines for the early games in the 2018 college football season. The Notre Dame football team has a lot of question marks right now — and apparently — so do the Michigan Wolverines.

The Irish are currently two-point favorites over Jim Harbaugh and his crew according to Oddshark.com.

There are a couple of sites and books that favor the Wolverines, but the consensus seems to point toward Notre Dame winning the matchup at home.

Realistically, a line that small is a toss-up. If the game were being played in Ann Arbor, it’s a good bet that Michigan would be the favorite by a similar margin.

The line is also interesting, given the hype surrounding the transfer and subsequent immediate eligibility of quarterback Shea Patterson. The Ole Miss transfer is expected to be one of the first quarterbacks taken in the 2019 NFL Draft by several outlets and was thought to be a game-changer and catalyst to help vault the Wolverines into the national title conversation.

A loss to start the season against Notre Dame would certainly make a national title run an uphill climb for Harbaugh’s bunch.

For now, the line is what it is. And because we here at Slap The Sign care about our readers, please remember that the Supreme Court’s recent decision on sports gambling still leaves the overall legality of it up to the states. If you’re going to bet, know the laws where you live. And Go Irish.
