How would Notre Dame football stack up in a single-elimination tournament of bragging rights against the other elite programs in the country?

If you’re a Notre Dame football fan, chances are you’ve encountered fans of other big-time programs who try to argue with you about which is the superior program — both presently and historically.

With the help of Winsipedia, I’ve come up with one fun method to help fans decide — and continue to argue — about which college football program rules them all.

My method is simple: Take the top sixteen teams according to all-time wins and seed them in that order into a traditional sixteen-team bracket.

To decide who wins each matchup, you look at two factors: head-to-head record and national championships. Head-to-head wins are worth one point, while national titles are worth two points apiece. In the event of a tie, “scoreboard” decides winner, meaning the team that won the last head-to-head matchup advances.

The great part about this method is that your results can possibly change every week during the college football season.

Using my method, here is how the 2018 College Football Tournament of Bragging Rights would shake out.
