Notre Dame Football has made a name dominating in offensive line recruiting. The Irish added another good one Monday.

The Irish are absolutely killing it along the offensive line. Notre Dame has landed its fourth lineman in the class, 2019 offensive guard from Ohio, Zeke Correll. This one definitely wasn’t easy, seeing as he is one of the most touted lineman in the country.

To make matters more difficult, the Irish had to fend off Correll’s home-town team in Ohio State who was pushing very hard for him to join their program. Correll narrowed his list down to 4 out of his 27 offers. That group was Notre Dame, Ohio State, Clemson and Stanford. In the end, South Bend was the place he wanted to be. Something also to note is that Correll’s bother is already a student at The University of Notre Dame who is studying Law. Obviously that is a big bonus in his decision to choose the Irish.

Correll holds 27 offers from the likes of Clemson, Ohio State, Stanford and more. Those schools also consist of his top four before ultimately deciding on the Irish.

What are the Irish getting in Correll?

The 6’4, 270-pound lineman is extremely strong. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and plays like every play is his last. He finishes blocks and does it with a purpose. In my eyes he is equally as dominant in the run game as he is in the passing game. He has quick feet for his size and he also blocks in space really well and is good on the run. I think he fits best at guard, but I wouldn’t be surprised with any position he ends up at on the line. He’s that complete of a lineman.

Offensive line coach Jeff Quinn now has an absolute dominate group of lineman for the 2019 class. Correll joins John Olmstead, Andrew Kristofic, and Quinn Carroll. If this group isn’t one of the best in the country when signing day comes around, then something is wrong with people judging football talent. These guys are exactly what you look for on the line of scrimmage.

But the staff might not be done yet. They have a few recruits they are keeping an eye on and would like to add at least one more guy to the lineman group. This line could get even better in the next few months if the staff gets their next guys and that’s insane to think about. I guess we don’t call Notre Dame “O-Line U” for nothing.
