Best Game

Carlee North: The Mississippi State game to win the national championship.

Nathan Erbach: Notre Dame vs. USC (Football). Who doesn’t love a nice ass kicking of the boys from Southern California. A 10-3 season from the Irish isn’t what Notre Dame fans necessarily want, but any year we get to see a ND victory over USC is a good year.

Jack Leniart: Women’s Basketball defeating UConn in the Final Four. Just beating the UConn Women’s Basketball team is enough of an accomplishment to earn a nomination for this award. The way Notre Dame did so, however, makes this an easy selection for this category.

Sonny Martinez: I have a feeling everyone is going to have the same pick, but for the sake of being different, I’m going with Notre Dame vs USC football. It was pretty great watching the Irish hammer the 12th ranked Trojans 49-14. Any victory against USC is great, but a blowout at home is even better.

Connor McJunkin: Last-second victory of Michigan in the Frozen Four. This game was an absolute thriller from start to finish. Senior Captain Jake Evans netted the game-winning goal with just 5.2 seconds remaining in regulation. The goal pushed ND past hated rival Michigan and sent ND Hockey to their first National Championship since 2008.

J.P. Scott: There are few sports that can match the drama of hockey. For this reason, I am going with the Frozen Four win over Michigan. To beat a rival on that stage in that manner was pretty awesome.
