Offensive Line

Commits: Quinn Carroll (Minnesota), John Olmstead (New Jersey), Andrew Kristofic (Pennsylvania), Zeke Correll (Ohio)

Notre Dame could very well be done with four commits in the fold, but the staff is pushing for one more. Delaware product Saleem Wormley announces his decision later on this month. Penn State is the likely destination.

Walter Rouse is another player to track. He was recently on campus, and Notre Dame made it clear there’s a spot for him. If he wants in, his commitment will be accepted. All things considered, Notre Dame should be done for 2019 offensive line recruiting.

Defensive Line

Commits: NaNa Osafo-Mensah (Texas), Howard Cross III (New Jersey), Jacob Lacey (Kentucky), Hunter Spears (Texas)

Notre Dame is done along the interior defensive line, but landing one or two more pass rushers remains a priority. Osafo-Mensah is the gem of the class, and it was a relief for Notre Dame fans that have been waiting for an elite pass rusher for several years.

The staff is pushing hard for a legitimate strong-side defensive end (SDE), and would love to land another drop-end target.

For the drop-end spot, Colt Ellison is a staff favorite, but he seems destined for TCU. Aeneas DiCosmo is another highly sought after target, but Stanford and Michigan are very much in play. That leaves us with Bralen Trice out of Arizona. Washington, TCU, UCLA, Oregon and Notre Dame are his top 5 schools. For now, his recruitment is a wait and see.

As for the strong-side, Notre Dame just lost out on New Jersey product David Ojabo to Michigan and Ty Robinson is far from a safe bet. Notre Dame will probably have to extend its board if they are insistent on adding another SDE to the class.
