Week seven brings us to a road trip at USC. This game is played on Sunday, because why not, who cares about the NFL, anyways?

As always, college football proves why it’s better than the NFL, as the Irish and No. 9 Trojans put together a thriller, a 33-27 overtime victory for the now 7-0 Fighting Irish.

Myles Boykin caught a 3 yard pass to seal the win. The most shocking stat from this game is JT Daniels’ stat line. The USC quarterback was 13/46 with 3 touchdowns and two picks. Wimbush wasn’t much better at 15/38.

Woof.

In total, the No. 5, 9, 14, 16, 19 and 24 teams all lost, although nothing particularly noteworthy happened.

Coming off a bye week and now ranked No. 4, Notre Dame has a matchup with Northwe…Purdue, which the Irish take care of 35-14. I have a feeling this could be close to the real thing.

Simulating the rest of the top 25, Clemsoning is back, folks, as the No. 1 ranked Tigers lose to the Pitt Panthers, who are somehow now 6-1 and ranked No. 11. Nope.

Also mind blowing is the fact that Cal is now 6-2 after an upset of the 10th ranked Washington Huskies. Bill Snyder’s 4-3 Wildcats upset 6th ranked West Virginia. In total, No. 1, 6, 10, 18, 19, 22 and 25 all fell to the pit of misery.

In a check of the playoff standings, I realized the playoffs are not in existence yet and we’re stuck with the BCS. Thanks again, O’Bannon.

The top four teams are Alabama, Wisconsin, Notre Dame and Mississippi State. For those wondering, UCF is 11th. Maybe they could get a shot at a real championship. Even if they don’t, they still have the Civil ConFLiCT trophy. Wait, that’s not real either.
