The hits keep coming, as Brandon Wimbush finishes third in Heisman voting to Georgia’s D’Andre Swift.

He did win the Maxwell Award and Davey O’Brien Award, and Drue Tranquill won the Bednarik Award, Nagurski Trophy and Jim Thorpe Award. Te’Von Coney won the Linebacker of the Year.

I guess that helps a little.

For what it’s worth, the top four teams are Wisconsin, Clemson, Auburn and Ohio State in that order.

Not a bad playoff.

Wisconsin was the only undefeated team, while there no winless teams. Western Kentucky and UNLV found their way into the Top 25, which is probably unlikely.

Notre Dame is headed to the Orange Bowl to take on Ohio State, who — had there been a playoff in this version of the game — would have been in. But in this version of the game, Notre Dame defeated he Buckeyes, 30-16.

Clemson won the National Championship over Wisconsin, 28-23.
