The Notre Dame football team has a decent following of heavy-hitters in the celebrity ranks.

When they’re not featured on television or some other form of media, you can find them at Notre Dame Stadium down on the field, in a suite, or in the gold seats. I’m talking about the celebrities that are fans of the Notre Dame football team and Fighting Irish athletics in general.

Many of the names on this list will not come as a surprise. Notre Dame fans are a proud bunch, and the celebrities in the fan base are no exception. All of these celebrities have made numerous trips to Irish sporting events and have been outspoken about their fandom.

Vince Vaughn

Vaughn may be the first name to come to mind when thinking of celebrity fans of the Irish. That’s probably because of his role as Jamie O’Hara in the most iconic Notre Dame movie of all time, Rudy.

However, playing a Notre Dame football player on the big screen is not his only tie to the Irish. Vaughn grew up in the Chicago area, one of the largest hubs of Irish fans in the country. He’s supported Notre Dame his entire life and regularly attends Irish football games.

Vaughn was the celebrity guest picker on College Gameday when Notre Dame hosted Stanford in 2012.
