Condoleezza Rice

Vaughn brings the laughs, Regis brings the energy, Bon Jovi brings the star power, and Condoleezza Rice bring the credentials. There are few non-fictional Notre Dame fans that have had the influence that Rice has had during her career.

After graduating from Notre Dame in 1975, Rice went on to serve on the University’s Board of Trustees. She left the board to join President George W. Bush’s staff. During his first term, Rice served as a national security adviser. After Bush’s reelection, Rice was asked to assume the role of Secretary of State.

Don’t let her resume fool you — Condoleezza Rice is a sports fan. She was a member of the College Football Playoff selection committee from 2014 to 2016.

Just last year, Notre Dame awarded Rice an honorary monogram. The school’s Athletic Director, Jack Swarbrick, surprised her with the honor when she was addressing the Women’s Basketball team.
