Josiah Bartlett was the President of the United States on the show The West Wing. Bartlett is a Notre Dame alum who does not hide his fandom, which made multiple appearances throughout the show.

Bartlett was seen sporting a Notre Dame jacket in one episode, and once redirected Air Force One to fly past Notre Dame stadium so that he could admire it from the sky.

President Bartlett may be a fictional character, but the actor who played him — Martin Sheen — also has ties to Notre Dame. The University awarded him with the Laetare Medal in 2008 for his work as an activist for human rights.
