SOUTH BEND, IN – NOVEMBER 04: Brandon Wimbush /

1. How significant are the improvements Brandon Wimbush has made this offseason?

You know the quarterbacks will be a hot topic for Brian Kelly’s first press conference.

Wimbush’s struggles at the position have been well documented, as is the fact that he needs to improve his accuracy.

By all accounts, Wimbush had a pretty good spring. This includes the annual Blue and Gold Game, in which Wimbush went 19-for-33 passing and showed more accuracy downfield than he did most of last season.

It will be interesting to hear exactly what improvements have been made and how quickly he’s progressed.

If Kelly even hints that progressions have been slow, that will open the door to even more quarterback controversy questions. If that is what the press conference turns into, it will be a very long day for Brian Kelly.
