The competitor in you wants to win at all costs. The homer in you wants some former Notre Dame football players on your squad.

Fantasy football drafts are already happening around the country. Experts and amatuers alike are drafting fake teams every minute, and the results of those drafts are constantly impacting the ADP (Average Draft Position) of your favorite former Notre Dame football players.

Granted, the Irish can’t claim many “impact” players in fantasy football at the moment. That said, there are a handful of former Notre Dame players who can help your roster in key positions and periods throughout the season.

If you must have Notre Dame football players on your fantasy football team in 2018, here are your best bets — along with their current ADP in PPR leagues (according to FantasyPros.com)

Golden Tate

Tate is currently being drafted 47th overall and 22nd among wide receivers. This makes him a starter in most 8-12 team leagues. With four consecutive 90-catch seasons under his belt, he’s a bit of a steal at that position. He’s currently being drafted behind guys with some big question marks, particularly Allen Robinson, Josh Gordon and Demaryius Thomas.

Kyle Rudolph

Rudolph is currently being drafted 75th overall and eighth among tight ends. This makes him a starter in all leagues, and rightfully so. He has 189 catches for over 1,800 yards and 20 touchdowns over the last three seasons. And with the signing of Kirk Cousins in Minnesota, it looks like he just got an upgrade at quarterback. Rudolph is a low-risk, high reward tight end you can wait on while others are drafting guys like Jimmy Graham, Delanie Walker and Evan Engram ahead of him.

Tyler Eifert

Eifert is going 141st overall and 15th among tight ends. I wouldn’t be falling over myself to draft him before the end of the draft as sort of a stash-away in hopes of a resurgence. His injuries scare me, and he’s being taken ahead of rookies Mike Gesicki and Hayden Hurst. Both of those young players have higher ceilings in 2018.

Theo Riddick

Theo is being drafted 149th overall and 51st among running backs. He’s just a nice guy to have on the roster because of his big play potential and the thought that the Lions could be in a bunch of shootouts. If he’s starting for you every week, you’re in trouble. But he is a nice piece to plug in for a regular starter on a bye week in hopes of coming close to 100 all-purpose yards and a score. As THE passing-down back in Detroit, he is both a threat and a gamble to hit those numbers every week.

Equanimeous St. Brown

We’re not even going to get into his regular ADP heading into 2018, because he’s just not worth it. That said, in rookie-only dynasty drafts, St. Brown is a guy to target late in hopes of stashing him away until he can grow into a larger role in Aaron Rodgers’ offense. He’s currently being drafted 31st among rookies and 12th among rookie receivers. If you want him, he’s probably going to be there for you.
