Besides always having to wearing my No. 10 Notre Dame jersey for the game, I always slap our “Play Like A Champion” sign before the start of the game and during halftime — maybe even an extra time if we need a big second half.

The reason it has to be my No.10 jersey is because I grew up playing lots of sports and was always in love with the number 10. I had that number throughout my sports career. Also, my all-time favorite Irish player is Brady Quinn, so that just added more to the obsession. As for leading up to the Saturday game day, I always try to make sure I re-watch something Notre Dame, which usually ends up being the Blue-Gold spring game on the DVR.

On game day, everything revolves around the Irish. The first tradition is slapping my Play Like a Champion Today sign. Okay, that’s an everyday occurrence, but there’s more magic in it on game day! Besides that, the invitations to my house are revoked on game day. I only make exceptions for the truest of Irish fans. The majority of the time spent before kick off is actually spent trying to calm myself down with a quick meal during pregame. Because if you’re eating a meal during the game, you’re going to miss something! During the game, the refreshments are kept stocked up and close by for a prime game day experience.
