Our staff writers try their hands at predicting the 2018 Notre Dame football season.

It’s that time again Irish fans. College football is upon us, and two blue bloods will take the field Saturday Night in Notre Dame, Indiana to renew an old rivalry. No matter your position on Irish football and the season at hand, there is always an excitement and anticipation that welcomes the start of the season.

Here at the Slap the Sign, some of our contributors and site experts took their best cracks at forecasting how the 2018 season will turn out. One of my favorite reasons for this type of article is the variety of responses received from intelligent people. It also portrays a level of fandom that every fan base is accustomed to. We have our pessimists. We have our internal optimists. We also have our realists. However fans want to spew it, no one is wrong to start the season, and that makes it fun.

I sent all of our writers give simple questions: Record Prediction, Team MVP, Most Improved Player, Breakout Player and most impactful freshman. Here is what they had to say.
