Team MVP

Carlee North (CN): Brandon Wimbush — I’m going with Wimbush. I think the Irish win a ton of games this season, and the only way that happens is if Wimbush performs like a star and to his athletic potential. That’s exactly what I think will happen.

Connor McJunkin (CM): Drue Tranquill I wanted to say Brandon Wimbush, but the question mark for him was too big for me to do that right now. Tranquill will anchor the defense all season. His stats alone might not scream MVP at season’s end, but his energy and leadership will be key all year long.

J.P. Scott (JS): Brandon Wimbush — Everything Notre Dame does on offense will be centered around his skill set. If they succeed, it will be because of him.

Sonny Martinez (SM): Drue Tranquill — I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Tranquill may not put up the stat lines like Tillery or Coney, but he’s the heart and soul of the defense. He’s been around for everything, and has the experience to lead this team. He makes everyone around him better and this year will be no different.

Nathan Erbach (NE): Te’Von Coney — Coney is not only the most important player on the defense, he is also the best player on the Irish football team. He is going to push for the single season TFL record, and lead the team in tackles. Coney is simply always around the football, and will take an even bigger step forward as a senior. It should only help that he has 5th year senior, Drue Tranquill playing right next to him.
