EAST LANSING, MI – SEPTEMBER 23: Chase Claypool /

Names to Monitor on Offense

Overall, the offense wasn’t spectacular on Saturday, but many players showed what makes them intriguing prospects. Chase Claypool, Miles Boykin and Alize Mack all made plays on the football that showed off their strengths. All three guys have speed and length at their respective positions, and they know how to use those to create separation and steal first downs and touchdowns.

As the season goes, I suspect we will see even more of these abilities as they pick on inferior teams and defenses – likely starting tomorrow against Ball State.

The 2019 draft is still a long ways away, and there is still a lot of football left to be played in 2018. With that said, Notre Dame is potentially looking at some very good prospects for 2019 and beyond.
