Notre Dame Football: 3 Biggest Storylines against Vanderbilt
Week 3 is already here, and the Irish find themselves 2-0. After a lackluster outing last week against Ball State, the Notre Dame football team looks to rebound in a big way versus SEC opponent Vanderbilt.
It’s no secret that the Notre Dame football performance last week left many with more questions than answers. Coming off a huge season-opening win over Michigan, the Irish struggled at home versus a much less talented Ball State team. Most of the criticism came on the offensive side of the ball, where questionable play-calling, dropped passes, poor offensive line play, and a three-interception performance by Brandon Wimbush left the Irish faithful nervous moving forward.
Whether Ball State just had a great game-plan, or Notre Dame wasn’t mentally there after such a huge win the week prior, they still won and are 2-0. As I and many other believe, the sky is not falling just yet.
This week, the Irish host 2-0 Vanderbilt in their third consecutive home game to kick off the 2018 season. The Irish are 2-0 all-time against the Commodores and this will be the first time the two teams meet since 1996.
Here are the 3 biggest storylines for this week’s matchup.
